While Bangkok Airways offers direct flights between Koh Samui and Hong Kong the fares aren't among the airline's best deals. In fact, at 8780 baht or HK$1780 for a tax-inclusive one-way flight they barely qualify as budget fares at all.
At present, however, this is pretty much the only low fare option between Thailand and Hong Kong.

JetStar Asia, one of Southeast Asia's largest low cost airlines, flies one direct no-frills route between Hong Kong and Singapore.
The service lands in Singapore in time to allow you to take an onward flight - via sister-airline Valuair - to Jakarta in Indonesia. You can book both flights in a single transaction on the JetStar Asia website.
If you can spare the time to stop over in Singapore for one or two days, it may be marginally cheaper to book the onward flight to Jakarta separately than to book it as part of a single transaction.

Budget Travel Tip: A cheaper way to fly from Hong Kong to Singapore?
More often than not, Tiger Airways - which tends to connect less well known or less popular airports - operates cheaper flights across Southeast and East Asia than its main rival, Jetstar Asia. So, if you are keen to find the cheapest available fare for travelling between Hong Kong and Singapore, you might want to consider taking the TurboJET ferry across the Pearl River Delta to Macau and then fly to Singapore on Tiger Airways instead. The savings for the total trip can add up to HK $150 or more.
